Free Classes Begin September 12
NYCC hosted its Empowered Program orientation on August 29, 2026, at the Boston Education Auditorium. Upper‑grade students who will serve as tutors attended the session, where NYCC provided program guidebooks and introduced key guidelines for the upcoming semester.
During the orientation, tutors received detailed training on effective teaching methods, structured lesson planning, and proper progress‑report preparation.
NYCC Chairperson Soo Byun stated, “We are fully preparing to ensure that our upper‑grade tutors can carry out their volunteer work in a meaningful and effective way.”
Beginning Saturday, September 12 at 10 a.m., NYCC will offer free weekly classes for lower‑grade students through the Empowered Program. Subjects include English vocabulary, coding, and mathematics.
